Spiritual House Cleaning

House cleaning? Ahhhgg! I worked all day yesterday cleaning. I was so pleased with my accomplishments. Then a thought flashed into my mind. "You spent all this time cleaning this room, wouldn't it be great to spend this much time with spiritual house cleaning?"

Spiritual house cleaning? Yes! I must set aside a time for spiritual examination.

This time should be for praying and asking God to cleanse me in areas of my life that may go unseen or avoided for whatever reason. This time should be for allowing the dust mop of God's word to get rid of the cobwebs that show up when we lest expect them.

This should be a time when we pray and ask God to clean our thoughts and realign our desires to be in line with His.

We should ask God to allow the Windex of his word to clean our eyes windows so we can see clearly the path he has set before us and follow obediently.

Yes, on my schedule now is a time for Spiritual House Cleaning. This type of cleaning just can't be pushed under the rug. We must make sure it is regularly addressed.
