Spring is in the air, just not yet here. Nothing is beautiful as winter in it's time. We hope and pray for snow then we wait. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us "To everything there is a season and time and a purpose for everything under the sun.

This year we waited and waited for snow. The weather was unseasonably warm, so warm that spring bulbs began to break through the soil and reach for the sun. Red Bud trees began to bloom as a false feeling of Spring was felt in the air. There was only one problem. It was still winter and the plants and trees were bitten by winters end when the snow of winter finally came.

Like our flowers and trees, God gives us a job to do. They are given to us to be done at an appointed time. It's easy to get excited and get ahead of ourselves. When God reveals to us what he wants we must wait to hear the when. and the how. If we go ahead like my anxious bulbs we may never grow to reach our fullest potential. It's important to wait on God. Don't let the warmth fool you to start going forth before his time or the frost of winter stunt you for rushing God's growth. Each phase of growth is important.

"Wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Wait I say on the Lord! Psalms 27:14

Spring will come for you in God's time.

So when anticipating Spring consider God's timing. Be still and wait patiently. God will let you

Spring forth in His timing and for his glory, and it will be beautiful.
