Searching for Love

Hearts, hearts, hearts everywhere you look. There are signs in the window, commercials on every channel of the television and they are popping up all over the internet. Yes it's almost Valentines Day.

People are searching for just the right gift to express love too that special person in their lives. I heard someone say that love doesn't go unnoticed, yet as the world desperately searches for that special gift they some how fail to see the love that has been extended to them down through the years. You see God our creator picked the perfect gift for us. The love in his heart for us compelled him to send us an eternal gift, a gift that would change our lives forever. He has purchased for those who except his gift of salvation and forgiveness of their sins. He has waiting for us a new home eternal in heaven and a crown. Wow! He even wants us to have His Holy Spirit to guide us and the Bible (his love letter to us) to keep us until he comes to take us home.

So enjoy "Valentines Day". No matter what you give or receive. Remember you are loved by God. Receive His gift of salvation by giving him your heart. Don't go searching for love in all the wrong places.

You see God's gift cost more than any gift man could give. After the candy is gone and the flowers are dead his love will be alive in our hearts eternally.
