Present is a word we have understood and uttered since the early age of kindergarten. We raise our hand during "Roll Call" and we yell present! We have used this word during college classes and video conferences. We Yell Present!
Present is a adjective meaning in a particular place, in attendance, attending, here, there, near, nearby at hand, close/near at hand, available, ready, existing or occurring now.
Although we know what present means we tend to allow the enemy to cause us to have a case of amnesia when it comes to remembering that “God is Always Present”. This shifts us into self mood. We start trying to handle, understand and fix things in self mood which in turn brings struggle not rest, doubt not faith and fear not trust.
Remembering God is always present is crucial especially during these difficult times. We may not understand the reason behind these times of sickness, disease, and natural disasters but, we must always remember The Lord is always at work and He is always with us.
We must not let the daily distractions or enjoyments of our busy lives cause us to forget that we are here on mission and we are not alone. Jesus said "...I am with you always" Matt. 20:28
May we stay focused on our mission, and not fearful during these difficult times remembering that heaven is our home and our destination. When our assignment is complete here (no matter how long or short it may be) we have an eternal home in heaven.
So when it seems like bad things are happening to good people and you feel hurt, confused or alone. Remember God is always present.
Stay in God's Word and allow his Holy Spirit to be your Comfort and guide.
Daily remind your Mentors, Mentees, Family Members, Friend's and yourself of His Presence.
May the comfort and reassurance of David's words in Psalms 23 enlighten our hearts to always remind us that during our most difficult times God loves us and "He is Always Present".
